Horses In Rehab

| This is CERA's newest horse Dano. He is a 24 year old Registered Arabian. As far as we know he has not seen a vet since 1994. He barely has any teeth and his gut is full of parasites. He is on beet pulp, a handful of senior and probiotics, soaked 3 times a day. He cannot eat hay, so we have chopped timothy for him which we are also soaking in water. This should not have happened to such a beautiful boy. We are trying our best to help him. He is bright eyed, very sweet and loves to munch on grasss which he balls up in his mouth then spits out. He is a victim of neglect and the economy, and another unwanted horse. Dobbin CERA helps another rescue group with horses in need. Dobbin was one of 6 horses that needed to be fostered and rehabbed. He is approximately 3 years old and very very sweet. He has excellent ground manners and needs to put some weight on. Other than that CERA will access him for bathing, clipping, trailer loading etc. He should be ready for adoption in approximately 4-5 months. |
