The Battered Womens Shelter's residents, 16 women and their children signed up for a visit to the farm. All were very excited to visit all the animals, especially CERA's horses. Several of our horses have been neglected, abused mentally or physically, unwanted and starved as the women that came to visit. They were very surprised at how some horses are treated. The children fed the chickens and pigs and thoroughly enjoyed brushing the rinds to the pigs and horses. rinds to the pigs and horses. |
